Appointments

You can make an appointment via the following ways:

Standard appointments

Appointments with the nursing team will vary in length depending on the reason. Please bring your medication with you for annual health checks.

Standard appointments with a GP are for 10 minutes each. These can be pre-booked online, in person, or by telephone.

Please ask at reception for a double appointment at the time of booking if you have a need for this. This might be because you have more than one thing to talk to the doctor about such as if you are also a carer and wish to talk through any worries about this.

Please request an interpreter at the time of booking if you cannot communicate in English.

Urgent Appointments

We run a pool of appointments every morning from 10:30 for people who have a need to be seen urgently. These can be booked in person or by telephone from 08:00. We will ask you for the reason that you are requesting to be seen that day.
You will be given a time to attend:

  • this is not a set appointment time and you may have to wait
  • this is not with a particular doctor

We aim to see you within half an hour of your attendance time.

Please let the receptionist know if you have a preference for a particular GP and we will try to make this happen.

Evening & Weekend Appointments

Working in collaboration with Extended Access, we are pleased to offer access to GP, nurse and HCA appointments during the evenings and at the weekends.

To book appointments simply ask the receptionist who will arrange an appointment at a time and location that suits you best. This will not be at your usual practice, but the GP or Health Care Professional who sees you will have access to your medical record and can issue prescriptions if required and deal with other matters appropriately should the need arise.

Telephone Advice

If you need advice over the telephone please ring the surgery from 08:00. Where if it is necessary a doctor will ring you back. A specific doctor is given time to do this each morning and afternoon and this may not be the GP that you normally see.

You will also find advice and ways to submit an online question to reception or the doctor or nurse by entering Reception or the Consulting Room.

Cancelling an Appointment

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible, this may enable someone else to be seen.

You can cancel your appointment in any of the following ways:
